I'm loving it (as McDonald would have me say), even though I can find very few references! "Il canto delle sirene" makes me think of "The lovesong of Alfred J Prufrock", especially since "non sarà il canto delle sirene che ci innamorerà". I reckon that "l'occhio di Ismaele" may be a reference to something but I can't quite point out what. Actually, Sirens and sailor hint quite obviusly at Ulysses! Anyway, the song is beautiful indeed.
